awesome video. it says a lot about the kind of person that you are and you also got some humor in there which i appreciate. However on a more serious note, your poem alone is amazing. I like the repetition of confident and strong because you are, but even more so, i liked how you found the hidden truths under being "confident" and "strong." Everyone has vulnerabilities, in my opinion, and if you hadn't shared yours i wouldn't know what yours were because, just as you said, you appear to me as confident and strong as one can great. When you talk about what you see and what you touch that no one else sees and touches you are providing the readers of your poem with a sense of your true uniqueness and individuality. I was very impressed with how you did the poem because in addition to being visually interesting, the frozen frames allude to the many pieces of your personality, breaking apart any former connections between characteristics that could make one trait seem to be the result of another. I thought that the way you presented your insecurities actually presented a heightened sense of confidence because it is always easier to put on a fake confident persona than to actually bear it all.
I really liked this video too. At first I wasnt sure how I felt about the way that you recited the poem but after watching the video for a second time I noticed things that I hadnt noticed before. Like Ariel said, I really liked the way you incorporated your own interests and personality into the recitation like using your beats when you say "i hear what no other hears" and the pictures from football and basketball when you talk about making people proud. Also, I really liked how you were honest about the fact that even though "confident and strong" are two words that are stereotypically given to men, you found that they were honestly the first two words that came to mind when you thought of words to describe yourself.
I think your video is good. you were not afraid to express yourself even though you may have been worried about what your peers would think or say. you spoke from the heart and told what you felt. you were true to yourself. i liked how you incorporated pictures into your poem. it made things different and exciting.
